About the Learning Locator

The Learning Locator Map allows district and school leadership to view student-level data by address on an interactive digital platform.

 Student Population Data

Authorized district and school leadership can choose any school within the district and view the current student population by grade, ethnicity, and other demographic categories.  Student data also includes parent names, telephone numbers, and email addresses. Student population data is shown alongside the school attendance boundary, outlined in red. Student data is updated each time the district provides new data to Mobility Blueprint. Principals and other school leaders can use this data to better understand their community.

 Student Housing Data

District and school leadership can also view clusters of students by their current address. By clicking on each cluster, users can zoom in to view smaller clusters until individual student data is visible. Information about the students living at the same address will show in a dashboard similar to the Student Population Summary.  This data can be used to allocate resources and support services more effectively by targeting locations with strong concentrations of students.

 Benefits/Features:

  • Visual representation of all students on one map
  • Only authorized district and school leadership users
  • Track and identify students by location for safety and security reasons
  • Track mobile students to identify trends in movement and efficiently address needs
  • Quickly identify concentrations of students with the same needs to more effectively allocate resources, services, and outreach efforts
  • Strategically plan family and community engagement efforts based on the needs in the area, such as allocating translators
  • Utilize community-based locations near significant concentrations of students for events or programs such as after-school tutoring and mobile health services
